Solar Imaging with DayStar Filters
The owner of this filter sent his unit in for service. It was labeled originally as a 0.5Å SE grade. However, when we tested it spectroscopically in the lab, we learned it was actually a 0.4Å PE grade. The owner has a nice surprise.
The even exposure of chromosphere and soft filaments and crisp spicule detail are typical of a 0.4Å. The evenness of density and contrast in the image demonstrates the nice PE grade of this filter.
